Topeka, KS (February 2026): FAST-ACT also participated in The ATACC Group CBRN training course, where students were placed into realistic field scenarios designed to test decision-making, SOP execution, and operational response under pressure. FAST-ACT products were incorporated throughout the exercises, allowing participants to observe dry decontamination in live-action training environments.
Key highlights from the course included:
- Neutralization versus absorption — Traditional sorbents were discussed in contrast to FAST-ACT’s ability to neutralize both liquids and vapors on contact
- Speed of mitigation — Demonstrations showed that 1 kg of FAST-ACT reduced hydrogen sulfide concentrations to safe levels inside a shipping container in under 30 seconds
- Validated protection — Performance data reviewed during training included protective ratios against VX nerve agent and demonstrated reduction of sulfur mustard vapor levels below AEGL-1 thresholds
- Field-ready deployment — FAST-ACT Pressurized Cylinders, FAST-ACT Shaker Bottles, and FAST-ACT Decontamination Wipes were deployed in scenario-based settings, reinforcing ease of use and compatibility with standard PPE, including N95 masks
The course emphasized a critical operational principle: in CBRN incidents, time directly impacts outcome. Integrating rapid neutralization tools into field response protocols supports safer, more effective mitigation during the earliest and most consequential stages of an incident. The event reinforced the importance of immediate, scalable decontamination measures in healthcare settings, particularly during the critical window before traditional water-based systems are fully operational.
